Fritz Westover had been noodling the idea of content marketing for his winegrape-growing consulting business for a while. It wasn’t until we invited Fritz to Denver for the Digital Commerce Summit that the idea really took hold. The event was put on by the good folks over at CopyBlogger and the Digital Commerce Academy. The speakers were exceptional and the entertainment… well, attendees of all ages rushed the stage when Cake opened with The Distance. But that’s a story for a different day.
Today’s story is about Fritz’s vision to bring useable, research-based information to winegrape growers and how we helped bring his vision to life. We created Virtual Viticulture Academy with WordPress, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Memberships. We included ticket sales and integrated with Zoom Webinars to allow anyone (members and non-members alike) to purchase access to Fritz’s live webinars and in-person events. We also designed a custom theme to achieve the professional and inviting brand of the Academy.
As an added bonus, we created the Academy’s logo and seal, as well as a couple of t-shirt designs along the way. One of our t-shirt designs features a measuring stick on one sleeve as a guide for grapevine pruning cuts. How fun is this?
